RISSHO KOSEI-KAI

This book, Rissho Kosei-kai, is an adapted translation of the Japaneses book with the same title which was puplished  in November, 1965. It contains accurate descriptions of the history, the doctrine, the actual condition, the activities, etc…, of our organization. It was compiled in collaboration by the members of the Translation Committee.

Our organization intends to contribute, together with other religions, to the establishment of word peace through the study of the true meaning of religion without adhering to a narrow-minded sectarianism.

The publication of this book aims at making others understand the doctrine and activities of Rissho Kosei-kai and at contributing to the establishment of a better and peaceful world.

Since our organization itself is a living body, the contents of this book may require revision along with its development. However, we hope that this book will be useful to many people who try to understand the true meaning of Buddhism.

We intent to publish in succession translations of the sutras and the works of President Niwano and others.

We wish to express our gratitude to Dr. Fumoi Masutani and the staff of the International Institute for the study of Religions for their collaboration in publishing this book.
